WAMBO WIND FARM

ICON WIND REVERSED

Overview

Wambo Wind Farm is a 50:50 joint venture between Stanwell and Cubico Sustainable Investments, currently under construction near Jandowae in the Western Downs region of Southern Queensland. Delivered in two stages, the project forms part of Stanwell’s broader commitment to building a geographically and technologically diverse energy portfolio that supports Queensland’s future energy needs.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Wambo Wind Farm is being developed – the Western Wakka Wakka and Barunggam Peoples – and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Wambo Wind Farm website

Wambo Wind Farm, along with the associated Powerlink connection works, is supporting up to 400 jobs during construction, with approximately nine ongoing maintenance roles once operational.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Wambo Wind Farm is committed to delivering real, long-term value to the Western Downs region. During construction, the project is providing up to $200,000 each year to support local community groups and organisations.

We focus on initiatives that reflect community priorities and help strengthen the places where we live, work and play.
